Delete your Outfall account

You can delete your account and the data tied to it yourself, in the app, in about a minute. If you cannot use the app, ask us by email and we will do it for you.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. If you pay for Outfall, cancel in Manage billing first (sign in with the email you used at checkout), or you could keep being charged. After you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open Outfall and sign in. You need signal.
  2. Open Settings and scroll to the bottom.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Read what will happen, type DELETE, and tap Delete my account.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.

Or ask us by email

Email support@getoutfall.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my Outfall account". We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and write back when it is done, within 30 days. We can only act on a request from the address on the account, so nobody else can delete yours.

What is deleted

  • Your login and your email address.
  • Your name and your place on the team.
  • If you are the only owner of a company: the company and everything in it, including customers, sites, tanks, trucks, jobs, photos, signatures, manifests, compliance rules, training records, mileage and the team list. Drivers in that company lose access. Export any manifests and reports you must keep before you delete.
  • If you are a driver, or an owner of a company that has another owner: only you leave. The company keeps its records. Your live location trail is deleted. Jobs you were assigned stay with the company, unassigned.
  • Invites sent to your email, and any early-access sign-up with your email.
  • Contact details you typed into a rules feedback note.
  • The copy of your data on your phone, when you delete in the app.

What is kept

  • Billing records (Stripe subscription id, status, plan and dates) are kept for tax and accounting. We remove your name, email, phone and company name from them and unlink them from your account. Stripe also keeps its own payment records under its own policy.
  • Filed manifests in a company that continues keep the driver name printed on them, because a manifest is that company's regulatory record. The record of who edited a record is kept without a name.
  • Standard website server logs kept by our hosting provider for a short time.
